Max Vehicle falls into gorge near Sonprayag, 9 injured

Rudraprayag, 16 Jul: A vehicle carrying pilgrims returning from the Kedarnath Shrine lost control and plunged into a deep gorge in the Sonprayag area of Rudraprayag District. All 9 individuals on board the vehicle were injured in the accident. The injured have been rescued and transported to the health centre in Agastyamuni for treatment.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. this afternoon. A Max vehicle carrying passengers from Sonprayag was returning via the Gupta Kashi-Lohba Motor Road when it went out of control near Temaria and fell into the gorge. There were reportedly a total of 9 people, including the driver, on board the vehicle. Upon receiving information about the accident, rescue teams and local residents rushed to the site. All the injured were taken to the health centre in Agastyamuni for treatment.

According to the reports, the Max vehicle was transporting passengers from Sonprayag to Agastyamuni via the Gupta Kashi-Lohba Motor Road. When the vehicle reached near Temaria Village, it went out of control and plunged into the deep gorge. After receiving the information, local villagers and rescue teams reached the site. The injured were then extricated from the gorge and transported to the health centre in Agastyamuni for treatment. All the individuals on board the vehicle were injured in the accident. The condition of the injured is stated to be stable, and they are undergoing treatment.
