Dehradun, 19 May: BJP State Media In-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today stated that media is the most powerful medium for taking ideas and information to the masses and asserted that systematic dissemination of correct information at the right time is the essence of effective media management.
Addressing the party workers during the Dehradun Rural district training campaign programme at Chakrata, Chauhan said the BJP is an ideological organisation inspired by the spirit of ‘Nation First’ and media serves as a strong bridge to carry that ideology to every section of society. He said communication has become one of the strongest pillars of organisational strength, public outreach and public trust.
The BJP leader observed that the present era is defined not by the power of the weapons but by the power of ideas and information. He added that the organisation that reaches people with accurate information at the right time ultimately earns public confidence. Referring to the ongoing information revolution, he said news today spreads across the country and the world within seconds and mobile phones have effectively turned every individual into a medium of communication.
Chauhan said every BJP worker is not merely a party worker but also a messenger of the organisation’s ideology and programmes. Referring to the principles of nationalism, service and Antyodaya, he recalled the philosophy of ‘Integral Humanism’ propounded by Deendayal Upadhyaya and said the objective of media management should be to ensure that welfare schemes and developmental initiatives reach the last person in society in the right manner.
The BJP leader asserted that media management does not merely mean getting news published but also involves presenting the organisation’s ideology effectively, establishing constructive communication and strengthening public trust.
Speaking on the growing influence of social media, Chauhan said platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, X and YouTube have greatly increased the reach of communication but have also increased the responsibility. He warned that incorrect information and irresponsible language on social media could create confusion and damage the organisation’s image.
Emphasising on digital discipline, Chauhan urged the party workers, especially youth, to think before posting, verify information before sharing and maintain restraint while reacting online. He said the language and conduct of workers on social media often become the public identity of the organisation.
He added that the BJP’s biggest strength is its dedicated cadre of workers who take developmental schemes and welfare initiatives to the people. In times of rumours and misinformation, he said truth and restraint become the greatest strengths in media management.
