Kotdwar, 25 May: A grand ceremony was organised today at Maharaja Wedding Point, located on the Najibabad–Kotdwar road, to felicitate the meritorious students of the Kotdwar Assembly constituency. The event recognised students who performed exceptionally well in the 2025 High School and Intermediate Board Examinations.
The Chief Guest at the event was Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and local MLA of Kotdwar. She felicitated the top three students from class 10 and class 12 across all government and private schools in the constituency by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and prizes. She also extended her best wishes for their bright future.
Students shared their experiences and expressed that such events inspire them to aim higher and achieve even more.
In her address, Bhushan said, “The students of Kotdwar are consistently setting new benchmarks. Our government—and I personally—give the highest priority to education. It is a matter of immense pride to honour these talented young individuals. We are committed to making Kotdwar one of the leading regions in the state in the field of education.”
The event was attended by principals and teachers from most schools in the Kotdwar Assembly area, along with parents and a large number of distinguished citizens.
Among the dignitaries present were Minister of State Pt Rajendra Anthwal, BJP State Spokesperson Bipin Kainthola, Mandal President Vikasdeep Mittal, Prema Khantwal, Basic Education Officer Amit Chand, Councillor Neeru Bala Khantwal, Asha Dabral, Meenu Dobriyal, Hari Singh Pundeer, Surendra Arya, Pankaj Bhatia, and many other prominent personalities.
