Dehradun, 12 June: Engineering students in Graphic Era University will now receive training in operating Electric Vehicles. For this, an MoU has been inked between Graphic Era Hill University and MG Motors.
The MoU was done at MG Motors’ plant situated at Halol, Gujarat. On this occasion, Director of Graphic Era Hill University’s Bhimtal Campus Col Anil Kumar Nair said that the demand of core engineering has increased in the industry. Connecting with good companies will provide industry exposure to the students and with the training their placement opportunities will also increase. Director of Value Addition and Value Engineering at MG Motors, Sameer Jindal said that Electric Vehicle Technology is revolutionizing automobile industry and trained professionals in the field is the need of the hour. Students getting trained along with their studies will be industry ready even before they get their degrees. Senior Director HR at MG Motors, Yashwinder Patial said that this course will open many job opportunities for mechanical, electric, electronic and computer science engineering students.
Under this MoU, students pursuing BTech and MTech courses from Graphic Era will be able to do certificate and diploma course in Connected, Autonomous, Electric Vehicles. They will also be awarded with basic and advanced level certificates in CAEV. These students will receive training from experts at MG Motors. Director of Bhimtal Campus, Col Anil Kumar Nair on behalf of Graphic Era and Senior Director HR Yashwinder Patial on behalf of MG Motors signed the MoU.
On this occasion, HOD, Department of Aerospace Engineering at Graphic Era Dr Sudhir Joshi, Head Talent Management and HR Shalini Johari and Deputy Manager HR Saloni Mistry were present.
