Dehradun, 2 Feb: The highly anticipated trailer and poster of the Uttarakhandi feature film Mission Dev Bhoomi were unveiled at a grand event held at the Doon Library and Research Center auditorium, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. The event drew notable dignitaries, filmmakers, and artists who gathered to celebrate the launch of this thought-provoking film that tackles important socio-political issues in Uttarakhand.

Produced by Prajjwal Films Production, Mission Dev Bhoomi is both directed and produced by Ravi Mamgain. The film was shot entirely in Uttarakhand, beautifully capturing the state’s landscapes and culture.

Mission Dev Bhoomi explores significant themes such as love jihad and land laws, which have raised concerns in Uttarakhand. The narrative follows a young college girl from the hills who becomes a victim of love jihad, highlighting the emotional and societal repercussions of such events. Through its storytelling, the film emphasizes the need to safeguard local traditions, communities, and legal frameworks that affect the people of Uttarakhand.

The film features a talented cast, including Shivakanksha Chud, Ravi Mamgain, Brijmohan Vedwal, Jassi Panwar, Sawan Gairola, Ayushi Juyal, Sate Singh Patwal, Tribhuvan Gaihan, Brijesh Bhatt, Yogesh Saklani, Surat Singh Rautela, Neha Mehrotra, Sandeep Chilbit, Usha Rautela, Ravi Negi, Ambrish Singh, and Padam Gusai, amongst others.

Cinematography for the film has been expertly handled by Yudhveer Negi (YV), while the editing was done by the capable hands of Bhagirath Sharma. The music has been composed by Amit V Kapoor, with Ashish Patni contributing to the background score. The soundtrack features performances by Saurabh Mehtard, Pratiksha Bamrada, Amit Khare, and the celebrated Jitendra Panwar. Lyrics have been crafted by Padam Gusai, Jitendra Panwar, and Sunil Mamgain.

The launch event was attended by notable figures from various sectors. Amongst the key attendees were senior BJP leader Ravindra Jugraj, Sandeep Khatri, president of the Bhairav Sena Hindu Vahini Organization, and film producer-directors Dev Rawat, Pradeep Bhandari, and Anuj Joshi. Other distinguished guests included Nitin Upadhyay, Nodal Officer of the Uttarakhand Film Council, senior BJP leader Khondar Jugraj, and  famous folk singer Rekha Dhasmana.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from film lovers, cultural advocates, and members of the Uttarakhand film industry. Guests expressed their admiration for the film’s unique storyline and its relevance to the people of Uttarakhand. The trailer was met with an enthusiastic response, with many praising the cinematography, direction, and powerful performances.

The producers announced that Mission Dev Bhoomi is set to hit cinemas in April 2025. The film is anticipated to resonate strongly with audiences who are passionate about the culture, identity, and socio-political issues of Uttarakhand.
