Dehradun, 11 May: The word ‘mother’ is beyond definition, for how can one define the infinite universe or the depth of an ocean?
For children, mothers are their role models, their best friends, their lifelines- all rolled in one. Mother’s Day is celebrated all around the world on the second Sunday, in the month of May; it is a day marked to salute all the mothers for their unadulterated, selfless love.
We, at St. Patrick’s Academy, Dehradun, are much aware of the important roles which mothers play in their children’s lives, especially when they are young. To make the day memorable for their children and their mothers, the Kindergarten Classes of St. Patrick’s Academy tried to do their bit by having the Mother’s Day Social on 11th May 2019. The school auditorium was dotted with the pictures of the lovely mothers with their children, sending the vibes of love all around. Once the mothers, along with their children, started trickling in, the auditorium was soon filled with laughing children and beautiful ladies, dressed in their finery.
Navisha and Pramiti, from UKG, welcomed the mothers and expressed their gratitude in their adorable way. It was followed by another charming song and dance performance by the little ones which evoked strong emotions of love and joy in the hearts of the audience. Since the day belonged to mothers, a couple of entertaining games were organized for the guests of the day. Though mothers were supportive, yet they were at their competitive best while playing the games.
Towards the end of the programme, Brother Joseph, the School Principal, addressed the mothers and asked them to love their children unconditionally. The Pre-primary Coordinator, Manjari Sharma, applauded the teachers and reminded the parents that the teachers were no less than mothers of the children when they were in the school. The lovely ladies thoroughly enjoyed the programme and put up appreciative comments for the staff.
An ice-cream treat followed for all at the culmination of the programme.
