Dehradun, 19 Feb: Former Union Education Minister and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today expressed heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the state government and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for approving a ‘historic’ land law for the state and described this as an important decision.

Nishank observed that this decision, taken while respecting the years-old demand of the people of Uttarakhand and their sentiments, would prove to be a milestone for the protection of the self-respect, culture, and natural heritage of the state. “This is not just a land law, but a resolution to secure the bright future of our future generations,” he asserted.

Nishank further claimed that the double engine government had once again proved its commitment to strengthening the development, self-reliance, and original identity of Uttarakhand. This dream has been realised with the support and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government, for which he expressed heartfelt gratitude.

Nishank, while extending his heartfelt congratulations to the people of the state on this historic achievement, added that together everyone will continue to strive to protect the culture, tradition, and original form of our state and will take Uttarakhand to new heights of development and prosperity.
