Dehradun, 29 Jul: The Department of Special Education and Research, National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), successfully conducted a one-day State Level offline Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) programme, titled “Multisensory Approaches of Teaching the Visually Impaired” on 29 July. The programme was organised as per the norms of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Vinod Kain, Head of the Department, in the esteemed presence of Dr Sunil Shirpurkar (APSE) and Dr Pankaj Kumar (APSE). The event was coordinated by Dr Premananda Mishr, Lecturer, DSER.
A total of six sessions were conducted during the programme, focusing on the significance and effective implementation of multisensory teaching approaches for children with visual impairment.
The offline programme was attended by 36 participants who actively engaged in the sessions and gained valuable insights and knowledge from the resource persons.
