Pharmacies of Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital approved by PCI for training purposes

Dehradun, 6 Jun: The pharmacies being run at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital have received recognition from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to impart training. The students of D Pharma course will be able to get training at the pharmacies of Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital. Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital is the only one in Uttarakhand that the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has given this recognition.

Chairman of Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital, Mahant Devendra Das has congratulated the team of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University.

In order to complete the D Pharma course of Pharmaceutics, training of 500 hours (3 hours daily) is mandatory, which is only accepted in a centre recognised by PCI.

Till now, only dispensaries of government hospitals including Government Doon Hospital and Coronation Hospital have had the facility.

Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital is the very first private hospital in Uttarakhand state in whose dispensaries D Pharma students can complete training. Only after this, can the candidate get registration from the State Pharmacy Council. Pharmacy Council of India has issued permission to Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital for 240 seats every three months. In this way, 960 students of D Pharma course will be able to get trained at Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital.

Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr Divya Juyal stated that any centre that proves itself up to the mark in all the parameters as per PCI’s evaluation and investigation, is given approval as a training centre. PCI strictly evaluated and investigated Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital’s completing guidelines of State and Central Government, as well as its NABL & NABH Accreditations. After the dispensaries of Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital proving themselves up to the mark on all the parameters, they have been granted approval for providing training.
