Quantum University highlights Global Innovation at SIESD-2025 Grand Finale

Roorkee, 26 May: Quantum University, Roorkee, successfully concluded its international conference ‘Smart Innovations, Engineering Systems and Design (SIESD-2025)’ with a valedictory session on 24 May, capping two days of academic exchange and global participation.

Organised by the Department of Civil Engineering, SIESD-2025 attracted wide-ranging participation, with 175 research papers submitted by 235 authors from 53 academic institutions across India and abroad. The conference served as a multidisciplinary platform, embracing themes from civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and computer science engineering, as well as cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, and green technologies.

The Chief Guest was Dr MK Goel, Director, National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee, and Prof. Inderdeep Singh, Dean of Infrastructure at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, was the Guest of Honour. Both underscored the urgency of sustainable and resilient engineering solutions in addressing global environmental challenges.

The conference commenced with an impactful inaugural session featuring Dr Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla, Director, CSIR–Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, as Chief Guest, alongside Er NK Yadav, Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India), Uttarakhand State Centre, and Sunil Kumar, Executive Director of National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd
