Dehradun, 8 Sep: Every year, Rotary honours the true warriors who undertake the selfless role to educate young minds and lay the foundations for the future of the country. This year also Rotary Club Doon Shivalik Hills felicitated 16 teachers, principals, head of institutions of Dehradun on Teachers’ Day.
In an event organized at Skill-eD in collaboration with Doon Global School, teachers and heads of different institutions were awarded by Rotary International and District 3080.
On this occasion, which was named “Nation Builder Award 2024”, Club President Prashant Ghildiyal welcomed all the guests and briefed them about the Nation Builder award. These awards are part of Rotary India under the aegis of Rotary India Literacy Mission [RILM] and T-E-A-C-H India initiative.
Dr Durgesh Pant, Director General, UCOST, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He appreciated Rotary’s idea of Nation Builder’s Award which brings such prominent personalities under one roof. Dr Durgesh urged everyone present to come forward and do some good for the society with collaborative efforts.
Club Secretary Rovin Jain, Puneet Tandon, AG & Programme Chair Ankit Agarwal and fellow Rotarians felicitated the teachers and appreciated their efforts.
