SGRR’s Digambar wins MMA Title

Dehradun, 5 Apr: Former students of the Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) Group, Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht, have brought pride to Uttarakhand at the international level through their talent. In a recently held Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competition in Noida, Digambar Singh Rawat delivered an outstanding performance and defeated Indonesia’s fighter Anga to claim the title.

On Tuesday, Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht paid obeisance at Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai and sought blessings. On this occasion, Mahant Devendra Das extended his best wishes for their bright future and honoured Digambar by presenting him with a medal.

Digambar and Aminder received their early education from Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Karnaprayag and Adibadri. Both are now set to enrol in Shri Guru Ram Rai University for their higher education.

It is worth noting that Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht have previously delivered excellent performances in several national and international MMA competitions. In the recent event, Digambar represented India in the 70 kg category and secured the championship title after tough competition among 28 players from 10 countries.

Digambar’s achievement has brought a wave of joy among students and teachers of the SGRR Group. Both athletes aspire to win titles in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the future and are continuously working hard to achieve their goal.
