Kotdwar, 27 May: Representatives and owners of companies operating in the Sigaddi SIDCUL area paid a courtesy call on Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, at her residence in Neembu Chaur, today. During the meeting, the industrialists expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the construction of the Malan Bridge, which connects Kotdwar and Bhabar.

The industrialists noted that the construction of the Malan Bridge is a significant achievement not only for the residents of Kotdwar but also for the companies and workers operating in SIDCUL Sigaddi. With the bridge now operational, transportation will become more convenient, logistics will improve, and new employment opportunities will be created.

Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan emphasised that companies established in SIDCUL should prioritise providing employment to local youth. She informed them that while there were 52 companies functioning in SIDCUL Sigaddi in 2022, the number increased to 89 by 2025. This rapid growth has been made possible due to improved law and order in Kotdwar, an investor-friendly environment, and proactive administrative support.

The Speaker instructed the SIDCUL administration to maintain cleanliness, enhance the aesthetic appeal of the industrial premises, and ensure better facilities for workers. She also urged companies to organise seminars in local schools to inspire students towards industry and self-employment, encouraging the next generation to move toward entrepreneurship rather than relying solely on jobs.

Speaker Khanduri further stated that SIDCUL companies should establish regular communication with the municipal corporation and local administration to ensure timely resolution of issues and smooth industrial operations.

Representatives from leading companies such as Crossing Solution, Logic Flame India, Jai Sai Food & Beverages, Rock India, Losic Flame India, Ekams, Aayam Plastics, and SS Packing were present at the event.

Also in attendance were Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kotdwar, Sohan Singh Saini, Municipal Commissioner Vaibhav Gupta, SIDCUL Sigaddi RM Sunny Chauhan, along with several officials and industrialists.
