Speaker holds ‘Jan Samvad’ at Harsinghpur

KOTDWAR, 24 Nov: The Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker and local MLA, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, conducted a Jan Samvad programme with the residents of Ward No. 25, Harsinghpur, in the Kotdwar Assembly constituency, today. During this programme, she listened to the local people’s issues and directed the concerned officials to resolve them promptly.

During the Jan Samvad, the Speaker had direct interactions with the residents, not only listening to their problems but also assuring them that quick steps would be taken to address them.

The Speaker emphasised, “Our goal is not just development, but to ensure that every individual benefits from government schemes and sees an improvement in their lifestyle.” She instructed the officials concerned to address the area’s issues quickly and to accelerate development work.

Additionally, the Speaker provided detailed information to the residents about the welfare schemes run by the central and state governments. She informed them that these schemes are benefiting the local people in areas like employment, health, education, and social security. She particularly highlighted the various schemes for women launched by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, urging the people to make the most of them.

During the programme, the Speaker also distributed financial assistance cheques to several needy families. She stated, “Helping the marginalised sections of our society is our priority, and we must work together to ensure that no poor or needy person is left without support.”

A large number of local residents attended the event. They expressed their gratitude to the Speaker. They stated that such interactions not only help resolve issues but also establish direct communication between the public and leaders, leading to transparency and acceleration in development work.

Other dignitaries present during the programme included Rajendra Anthwal, Chairman of the Cow Protection Commission; Vipin Kaintura, State Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party; Sukhro Hari Singh Pundir, Mandal President; Kamal Negi, Leader of Opposition, Nagar Nigam; Ritu Chamoli, Neeru Bala Khantwal, Anita Arya, Meenu Dobriyal, and Captain Dhasmana, among others.
