Stakeholders Working Towards Medal Wins for Los Angeles Olympics 2028: PT Usha

New Delhi, 13 Oct: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President PT Usha said on Monday that all stakeholders in the sports fraternity are working diligently to help Indian athletes excel at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Usha stated that the key stakeholders include all national sports federations, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
“We are committed to nurturing talents and ensuring our athletes perform their best at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028,” Usha said during the felicitation ceremony honouring the Paris 2024 Olympic medalists.
She praised the medal winners for bringing immense pride and joy to the nation and emphasised that even those who returned without medals remain equally valued for their efforts.
Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya presented cash awards to the medal winners and their coaches during the ceremony.
Among the notable awardees were shooter Manu Bhaker and her coach Jaspal Rana, javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and his coach Klaus Erich Bartonietz, along with the bronze medal–winning Indian men’s hockey team.
