DEHRADUN, 15 Feb: In Uttarakhand War Memorial Shaurya Sthal, a unique homage was given to CRPF martyrs today by hundreds of students, who sang patriotic songs and pledged to join the armed forces in memory of the martyred soldiers.
Organised by Tarun Vijay Chairman War Memorial, the programme saw the participation of children from Kendriya Vidyalayas, Cant Board school, Dehradun, Tribal school for Northeastern children ITIOTI, and many others.
Many eyes were moist when children sang Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon and suddenly had the privilege to see BS Sajwan, who left his ailing wife in hospital ICU to pay homage to martyrs. He is the father of a great martyr Pramod Sajwan who died fighting terrorists in Kashmir .
The state Police Chief Anil Raturi, Additional Police Chief Ashok Kumar and many officers attended. Raturi said that India will win war against terrorism as we follow a path of high morality and our jawans are the bravest. He paid homage on behalf of all police forces and people of the state.
Tarun Vijay said that terrorists are the most cowards and they attack like thugs and thieves, they have to be eliminated mercilessly.
