DEHRADUN, 21 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has given charge of various districts to his ministers. The ministers in charge of the districts would soon hold meetings of the District Planning Committees for approval of the district plans for the current financial year. Sources said that, due to the elections, these district planning meetings had already been delayed but the government wished to ensure early approval of the plans and early start of the development projects and works approved. Since the formation of the new government, the district planning meetings had not been held, nor was the budget of the district plan being spent. Now that the ministers in charge of various districts have been appointed, it can be hoped that the work can be accelerated at the district level. The planning secretary from the government has issued orders in this regard. While the responsibility of Dehradun district has been given to Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, charge of Haridwar district has been given to senior cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj. Premchand Aggarwal has been given the responsibility of Uttarkashi and Tehri districts. Ganesh Joshi has been given charge of Udham Singh Nagar district. Dhan Singh Rawat was given the responsibility of Almora and Chamoli district. Rekha Arya is responsible for Nainital and Champawat districts. Chandan Ram Das has been given the responsibility of Pithoragarh and Pauri districts while Saurabh Bahuguna has been given the responsibility of Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts.
