38th Annual Function of Swami Vivekanand Public School held

Dehradun, 23 Dec: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today attended the 38th Annual Function of Swami Vivekanand Public School, Kishan Nagar, as the Chief Guest. The event, held at the ONGC Community Hall, was inaugurated by Minister Joshi by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The children captivated the audience with their mesmerising performances on the occasion.

Joshi congratulated the school’s teachers, staff, and parents for the successful annual celebration. He shared that the school currently has 300 students enrolled and emphasised that the school provides education even to those on the very last rung of society. He appreciated the school’s continuous efforts in this regard. He mentioned that the annual event of any institution reflects its essence, and Swami Vivekanand Public School not only provides education but also instils good values in students, motivating them to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekanand. Referring to Swami Vivekanand’s vision, the minister stated that India can only progress when the person on the last step of society is educated.

Ganesh Joshi highlighted the various extracurricular activities organised by the school, such as drawing competitions, recitation contests, dance competitions, and sports activities. He noted that while the modern world brings changes in values and ideals, one must remain modern in thoughts and technology. He stressed the crucial role of teachers in nation-building and emphasised the need for moral and character education. He also pointed out the importance of preserving values and traditions. Minister Joshi wished success for the school and a bright future for its students.

The event was attended by RSS publicity head Kripa Shankar, Vice-Chancellor of Doon University Surekha Dangwal, National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Neha Joshi, former Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Anil Goyal, Lakshmi Prasad Jaiswal, Principal Vishal Jindal, Manisha Jindal, Neeraj Mittal, Nandini Sharma, Nand Kishore, Manju Kataria, Sachin Gupta, along with teachers, students, and parents.
