THDCIL holds state level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation

Dehradun, 14 Nov: THDC India Limited (THDCIL), Nodal Agency for organising the State Level Painting Competition, successfully organised it on Energy Conservation under the National Campaign of the Union Ministry of Power, at Rishikesh today. For this, students were divided in two categories. In category-A, 50 students of Classes 4, 5 & 6, and in category-B, 50 students of Classes 7, 8 & 9 participated.
Speaker Prem Chand Agarwal, was the Chief Guest and gave prizes to the winners. Muhar Mani, ED (MPS/O&MS), THDCIL, felicitated the Speaker by presenting a Shawl and Memento. Agarwal appreciated the students for their creative ideas and advised them to work hard to achieve their respective goals. The winners in each category were rewarded Rs 50,000 as First Prize, Rs 30,000 as Second Prize and Rs 20,000 as Third Prize. Ten consolation prizes of Rs 7,500, each, were also presented, respectively. AK Porwal, GM (Commercial), and Dr AN Tripathy, DGM (P-Policy/CC), and NK Prasad, AGM (P&A)/Nodal Officer, as well as other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
The winning students in Category-A (Classes 4,5,6) were Sanya Sejal, Class-5, Aacharyakulam, Haridwar – Ist Prize; Ronit Raj, Class-6, Aacharyakulam, Haridwar – IInd Prize; Dev Pal Singh, Class-6, Swami Premanand Jr High School, Rishikesh – IIIrd Prize. In Category B (Classes 7, 8, 9), Anurag Ramola, Class -9, KendriyaVidayala, ONGC, Dehradun–Ist Prize; Sneha Kashyap, Class-7, Aacharyakulam, Haridwar – IInd Prize; Sakshi Sahoo, Class-7, Delhi Public School, Ranipur, Haridwar – IIIrd Prize.
Agarwal also declared prize money of Rs 10,000 for first prize winners and Rs 5000 for second and third prize winners of each category.
A total of 100 students from various parts of Uttarakhand participated in this competition. The First, Second & Third prize winners of category-A will represent Uttarakhand State in the National Level Painting Competition in New Delhi on 12 December.
