Dehradun 20 Nov: Deepa Pandey, selected by world-renowned company Google, was given a grand welcome at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Uttaranchal University, here. today. Deepa and her parents were welcomed by the President of the University, Jitendra Joshi, and presented a memento. He said that Deepa, who came to Uttaranchal University from a remote village, Hartola of Nainital district, being selected by Google for employment is a big achievement. With this, Deepa has increased the prestige of her parents, Uttaranchal University and the entire Uttarakhand. He congratulated Deepa while wishing her a bright future.
Deepa’s father is posted as a library assistant in Uttaranchal University, while her mother is a housewife. The father of three daughters was emotional on this achievement and thanked the University.
Sharing her experience, Deepa said that she had never thought that she would be selected in a company like Google in the final year of engineering. She gave the credit for her success to her parents and teachers as well as the university management. Deepa said that the training and world class facilities of the university were most helpful in her achievement.
On this occasion, Vice President of the University Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Executive Director Dr Abhishek Joshi, Advisor Saurabh Baduni, Director Arun Gaudiyal, Prof Sonal Sharma, Prof Sumit Chaudhary, Ashish Jugran and a large number of students were also present.
