Shimla, 19 Sep: On Thursday, Uttarakhand Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) arrived at the Raj Bhawan, here, during his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh. He was welcomed by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.
Governor Gurmit Singh visited the Jakhoo Temple in Shimla, offering prayers to Lord Hanuman for the prosperity and welfare of the nation and the state. He remarked that, visiting this temple, set amidst the picturesque hills of Shimla, provided him with a profound sense of peace and spiritual energy.
Subsequently, the Governor also toured the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS), here.
