U’khand wins 3rd prize for R Day Tableau; Gov, CM express delight

Dehradun, 28 Jan: Governor Baby Rani Maurya has congratulated the people of Uttarakhand on the state’s tableau winning the third prize at the Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi. She also congratulated the Information Department for successfully having made and displayed the tableau. This year, the Uttarakhand tableau was based on the Kedarnath Temple.
Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju presented the award to Uttarakhand to the state’s representative and team leader KS Chauhan. Uttarakhand has participated many times in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi but it was the first time it has received an award for its tableau.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also expressed happiness on receiving the award. The Kedarnath Temple has been redeveloped after the 2013 disaster. The CM has congratulated Information Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, DG, Information, Dr Meherban Singh Bisht, Team Leader KS Chauhan, the artistes who created the tableau, as well as the 12 member team of the Information Department that took part in the Parade. The theme of the tableau was ‘Jai, Jai Kedara’.
The creator of the tableau was Savina Jetley, while the team members were Mohan Chandra Pandey, Vishal Kumar, Deepak Singh, Devesh Pant, Varun Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Renu, Neeru Bora, Divya, Neelam and Ankita Negi.
