Dehradun, 10 Oct: The Uttarakhand Association of Weddings & Events (UAWE) was officially launched at Taj Foothills, Dehradun, with the objective of bringing together stakeholders from the wedding, events, hospitality and allied industries on a common platform.
The launch event witnessed the participation of wedding planners, event management companies, hospitality representatives, vendors and other industry professionals. The occasion was graced by wedding industry icon Rituraj Khanna and renowned wedding consultant Prerna Saxena, whose presence added to the significance of the event.
UAWE aims to position Uttarakhand among India’s leading destinations for weddings, events and celebrations by fostering collaboration, promoting professional standards, encouraging ethical business practices and supporting skill development across the industry.
Speaking on the occasion, the founders of UAWE said, “Uttarakhand has tremendous potential in the wedding and events sector, supported by its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, hospitality infrastructure and talented professionals. Our objective is to bring the industry together on a common platform where businesses can collaborate, share knowledge and work collectively towards new opportunities. The association plans to focus on industry networking, professional development, destination promotion and constructive engagement with government bodies and institutions. It also seeks to create opportunities for local businesses, service providers, artists and young professionals associated with the sector.
UAWE brings together stakeholders from across the industry, including wedding planners, event management companies, hotels, resorts, venues, decorators, caterers, photographers, production companies, artists, vendors and allied service providers. Through its membership and associate partnership framework, the association intends to facilitate meaningful engagement, strengthen professional relationships and encourage collective growth.
The launch marks the beginning of UAWE’s efforts to build a more connected, organised and professionally driven wedding and events ecosystem in Uttarakhand.
