Veteran Sappers hold get-together 

Dehradun, 19 Apr: Ten officers and their families assembled at the Turner Road residence of Col RK Mehta (Retd) on 18 April to reminiscence over the last 48 years when they joined the Corps of Engineers and took part in the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 and 1971.
Each one of them earned good name and fame for the country during both operations. Col RK Mehta (Retd) is from one of the prestigious IMA courses when the late Lt Gen PS Bhagat (Victoria Cross) was the IMA Commandant. His course has produced more than half a dozen Generals of the Indian Army.
The evening concluded with many entertainment programmes. Those present were Brig KG Behl (Retd), President, Sanyukt Nagrik Sangathan and Patron, Dehradun Ex-Services League, Kamal Behl, Col RK Mehta Anoop Mehta, Col BM Thapa (Retd), Meera Thapa, Col RP Jairath (Retd), Sushma Jairath, Col BD Gambhir (Retd), and Kusum Gambhir.
