Dehradun, 19 Apr: The medical students of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences enjoyed themselves amidst high-volume traditional and Bollywood beats on Friday. On the final day of its festival, ‘Chiasma-2019’, the students gave unmatched colourful presentations. The students who won the various competitions were honoured with prizes by Vice Chancellor Dr Pitambar Prasad Dhyani and Principal, SGRRIM&HS, Dr Anil Kumar Mehta.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr Dhyani said that programmes like ‘Chiasma’ were unique platforms for the students to display and nurture their skills. He congratulated the organising Committee and the participating students. Principal Dr Mehta said that the Chairman of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Mahant Devendra Dass was the source of inspiration behind organising ‘Chiasma’. He urged the students to set their goals in life and prove to be good doctors and responsible citizens in life.
On Wednesday, cultural programmes were presented by the students. The programme commenced on 13 April and concluded today.
Organising Secretaries Ankita Singh and Pritish Gautam of 2015 batch delivered the welcome speech. It was followed by Saraswati Vandana by 2018 batch girls. The students presented a trailer of various states of India via the fashion show.
The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Special Invitee, Vice Chancellor, HNB Medical University, Prof Hem Chandra Pandey, Cultural Committee members of Chiasma-2019, Coordinator Dr Nidhi Jain, Dr Shashi Munjal, Dr Alok Kumar, Dr JP Sharma, Dr Rajiv Azad, Dr Sheenam Azad, Dr Alok Kumar, Dr. Puneet Ohri, Dr Rajeev Kushwaha, Dr Suchit Kumar, Dr RK Varma, Dr Puneet Ohri, Dr Amit Varma, Medical College faculty and Students.
