Yog Adityanath unfurls 100 ft tricolour at Talla Banas in Pauri

Yamkeshwar (Pauri), 6 Feb: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived today in Uttarakhand for a three-day visit to attend his niece’s wedding and participate in various programmes in and around his native village in Yamkeshwar Block in district Pauri. He was scheduled to arrive in Uttarakhand yesterday evening but it was delayed due to some unavoidable circumstances. This morning, he landed at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, where he was welcomed by Cabinet Ministers Ganesh Joshi and Prem Chand Aggarwal.

Yogi later travelled via helicopter to Talla Banas village in Yamkeshwar, Pauri district, where he participated in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Maa Garhvasini Temple. He also addressed the local people. He also planted Rudraksh trees along-with local villagers and also unfurled a 100 feet high tricolour at Maha Yogi Guru Gorakhnath Degree College. He also paid tribute to the statue of Mahant Avaidya Nath Maharaj, who was his spiritual Guru.

He then inaugurated a two-day Kisan Meet at Anand Singh Bisht Smriti Park organised by GBP Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat accompanied him during these events. Former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat also accompanied Yogi during his events today.

At the welcome ceremony, CM Yogi was presented a massive trident. Tarini Rawat, daughter of former CDS General Bipin Rawat, was also present. The UP CM paid tribute to the country’s first CDS ‘Padma Vibhushan’ the late General Bipin Rawat by offering flowers before his statue. The event organisers, Alam Singh Negi and Darshini Devi, honoured CM Yogi with the trident.

While addressing the people on the occasion, CM Yogi described the significance of Uttarakhand as a land that has produced great personalities and contributed immensely to the country’s defence forces and prestigious national level institutions. He also emphasised that the Char Dhams of Uttarakhand, along with Haridwar and Rishikesh, serve as symbols of national unity, reinforcing the need for collective respect towards the motherland.

The Pauri district administration has ensured meticulous preparations for the events in Yamkeshwar, with heightened security arrangements by the local police to ensure smooth proceedings. Special care was also taken to prevent any inconvenience to the local residents.

Yogi will spend two days in his ancestral village, Panchur, where he will attend various family functions. He is expected to participate in his niece’s mehndi ceremony tonight, followed by attending her wedding tomorrow. Tight security has been deployed in Panchur for his visit.
