The mortal remains of Subedar Yamuna Prasad Paneru of the 6 Kumaon, who made the supreme sacrifice while on patrol duty in J&K’s Kupwara last Thursday, were consigned to the flames at Shitla Ghat in Ranibagh, Kathgodam, on Sunday with full military honours. Among those present on the occasion were Cabinet Ministers Arvind Pandey, Yashpal Arya and military officials.
