19th All India Quran Recitation Competition held

New Delhi, 25 Nov: The Iran Culture House, New Delhi, under the title of Jashn-e-Milad-un-Nabi, organised the 19th All India Competition of Holy Quran Memorisation & Recitation, which commenced on 22 November and continued till 24 November in its premises.
On the auspicious occasion, many eminent personalities and delegates from India as well as Iran shared the dais and spoke on the topic. They also encouraged and felicitated the participants.
On the invitation of Dr Ali Dehgahi, Cultural Counselor of Iran, Dr S Farooq attended the programme as one of the speakers from India.
In his address, Dr Farooq appreciated the participants for their commendable memorisation and beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran. He mentioned that the Holy Quran is the most memorised book of the world and all should practice and share its world-wide message of brotherhood, peace and harmony.
After all the addresses and felicitation of the winners, the vote of thanks was proposed and the three day long programme was concluded.
