22 teachers receive ‘Gyan Ganga Samman 2024’

Dehradun, 19 Sep: Under the joint aegis of Kusum Kanta Foundation and Manthan Welfare Society, principals and teachers of various educational institutions of Dehradun district were honoured with the ‘Gyan Ganga’ award.

The Chief Guest at the Gyan Ganga Samman ceremony was Cabinet Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal. Special guest Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, and Director General, UCOST, Prof Durgesh Pant were also present. Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, former Union Education Minister was present as the patron at this programme.

The ceremony was attended by Kusum Kanta Foundation Founder Vidushi Nishank, Patron Dr Savita Mohan, project head Shivani Gupta, and Manthan Welfare Society Secretary Pooja Pokhriyal, Vice-President Amit Pokhriyal and President Manoj Anthwal.  The program was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp. After this, the students of Sunrise Academy gave a captivating dance performance and sang Guru Vandana. Vidushi Nishank gave provided information about the programme.

Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that respect for the teacher is respect for the nation. By implementing the National Education Policy, positive changes will be brought in the education system of the country. The day is not far when the country will become Vishwa Guru with the mutual effort of teachers and students.

Chief Guest Prem Chand Agarwal said that respecting the teacher has been the culture of the country. Teachers have an important contribution in taking the country and society forward.

Umesh Sharma Kau praised the organisers for the event. Prof Durgesh Pant said that the education system of India has been very advanced since ancient times, it shows a glimpse of culture and at the same time science is also included. All the guests unanimously praised the role of teachers in society and nation-building.

The guests presented certificates of honour to the invited teachers. Mukta Nautiyal, Divya Bansal, Anil Kumar Srivastav, Karam Singh Saini, Premlata Rawat, Ashima Dimari, Anita Nodiyal, Sandhya Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Kusum Khanduri, Shalini Rana, Arvind Kumar Saini, Vijay Laxmi Yadav, Sarika, Kanta Bisht, Savita Bisht, Priyanka Bhatt, Alka, Naresh Chand Baloni, Suman Prasad Semwal, Vibha Gawadi, Dharam Singh Farswan were honoured for their contribution in the field of education.

The stage was managed by Yogita Rana and the vote of thanks was proposed by Puja Pokhriyal, Secretary of Manthan Welfare Society.
