3 patients test COVID-19 positive in AIIMS Rishikesh

DEHRADUN, 22 May: The COVID-19 report of three patients at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh came back positive on Friday.
One of the patients is admitted to AIIMS for pre-Thalassemia treatment, while two other patients have reported positive after investigation in OPD.
The Institute’s Public Relations Officer, Harish Mohan Thapliyal, said that the test reports of three patients in AIIMS on Friday were found to be positive. Their samples were taken on 20 May. He said that among the corona positive patients, a 30-year-old female is from Veerabhadra, Rishikesh, while the two other patients are a 52-year-old man from Suman Vihar, Bapugram, Rishikesh, and another 7-year-old is from Laksar, Haridwar.
The 30-year-old woman, a resident of Barrage Colony, returned to Rishikesh from Delhi on 13 May and was home quarantined. She came to AIIMS OPD for a routine checkup on 20 May due to health disturbances. Her report in the investigation has been found corona positive.
The 52-year-old man, a resident of Bapugram, returned home from Mumbai on 9 May. He was quarantined by the administration at the Dental College campus.
The seven-year-old child suffers from juvenile Thalassemia and had come to AIIMS for treatment last Wednesday. He was admitted to the isolation ward after taking the corona sample, which later proved positive. This child had not travelled anywhere over the last 28 days.
The state surveillance officer has been informed in this regard.
