Mussoorie, 15 Jan: A car went out of control and fell into a ditch on the Hathi Paon-Cart McKenzie Road here, today, causing injuries to two men and two women.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Mussoorie Police reached the spot under the leadership of SI Buddhi Ram. A young man and woman trapped in the ditch were taken out of the car and sent to the hospital by 108 ambulance, where they were given first aid.
According to Police, this morning, both the couples were going to George Everest via Haathi Paon road. It went out of control a kilometre ahead of the Nag Temple and fell into a ditch. The local people informed the police. The police reached the spot and, with the help of the local people, they were rescued.
The incident is being investigated. Local people said that, due to the lack of a parapet on the roadside. Accidents often happen and many times a demand has been made to the local administration to construct a parapet along the road but no action has been taken.
