Hardwar, 25 Jun: The seventh Mahasamadhi Day) of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj, founder of the world-renowned Bharat Mata Mandir and an illustrious torchbearer of the Advaita Vedanta tradition established by Adi Shankaracharya, was observed today with profound devotion, reverence, and spiritual grandeur. Addressing saints, trustees, devotees, and spiritual seekers gathered on the occasion, Swami Avdheshanand Giri said, “The life of our revered Gurudev is a glorious golden chapter in the spiritual heritage of India. He was a living embodiment of Sanatan Dharma’s universal consciousness, in whom the Advaitic vision of Adi Shankaracharya, the wisdom of the Vedas, and the cultural soul of India found perfect expression. The Mahasamadhi of Gurudev signifies only the departure of the physical body; a true Guru never ceases to exist. The Guru is eternal consciousness, illuminating the path of seekers through his teachings, penance, and divine grace across generations. His true worship lies not merely in offering flowers, but in following the path of truth, service, spiritual discipline, harmony, and patriotism that he exemplified.”
He added, “The Guru is not merely a physical body; the Guru is the eternal manifestation of Brahman. The one through whose grace self-realisation dawns is the true Sadguru.”
