DEHRADUN, 9 May: At the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state headquarters in Dehradun on Saturday, more than two dozen workers from Kashipur Assembly constituency formally joined the party, leaving Congress under the guidance of state general secretary Kundan Singh Parihar. The induction was carried out in the presence of senior BJP leader Ram Mehrotra, who led the group of new entrants.
Among those who joined the BJP on Saturday included Gulzar Pur’s village Pradhan Harman Singh, Kundreshwari Cooperative Committee vice-president Sandeep Chaudhary, along with Parm Jot Singh, Gurupal Singh, Jasdeep Singh, Baldev Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Shivraj Singh, Aditya Singh, Sabi Nijjar, Kalpit Singh, Mandeep Singh, Sukhpal Singh, Parvinder Singh, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Karanvir Singh, Seema Kundra, Mandeep Singh, Sukhvinder Singh, Udit Sharma, Jagdeep Singh Pannu, Mohammad Asif and Mubarak Khan.
The new members expressed confidence in the BJP’s leadership and organisational strength They stated that the party’s commitment to development and governance has inspired them to switch sides. Party leaders welcomed the group, describing the induction as a sign of growing support for the BJP in Kashipur and across Uttarakhand.
