Dehradun, 30 Jun: On 4 July 2026, Pushkar Singh Dhami is set to complete 5 years as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He is just the second CM in the history of Uttarakhand after ND Tiwari to achieve this milestone. The Government and the BJP have planned many programmes to celebrate the occasion. While the party will hold informal functions, the government is planning events to reach out to people at their doorsteps.

On the directions of CM Dhami, a special 15-day campaign will be launched from 4 July. Under the campaign, special camps will be organised at the district, block and tehsil levels, where senior officers and the employees of the departments concerned will be present to resolve public grievances.

According to official sources, this event is in line with the view that CM Dhami has consistently held. They remind that the CM has been consistently emphasising that people should not have to make rounds of government offices for the resolution of their problems. Instead, departmental officers and employees should themselves reach out to the people and address their complaints. Keeping this vision of the CM at the centre, the state government had launched the 45-day ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar-Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign in December last year. Now, on the occasion of the completion of five successful years of the tenure of CM Dhami, the campaign is being started once again. This time, the programme will be organised as part of the Seva Pakhwada of 15 days, beginning from 4 July. Under this, camps will be held at the district, block and tehsil levels to resolve public grievances, while people will also be provided the benefits of various government schemes.

During the 45-day ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar-Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign launched in December, 681 camps were organised, in which 5,33,452 citizens participated directly. During the campaign, nearly 33,000 public complaints were resolved promptly. The campaign was also appreciated as a best practice in governance.

Commenting on the government decision to hold the camps for the public. Dhami said that people receiving government services without having to run from pillar to post is the first step towards good governance. He said that in continuation of this effort, the second phase of the ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar-Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign is being started in all districts. Directions have been issued to ensure the presence of all competent officers and employees during the campaign.
