Mussoorie, 7 Aug: The 53rd edition of the prestigious St George’s College Heritage Cup (Jackie) Invitational Football Tournament 2026 continued with remarkable enthusiasm, intense competition, and exemplary sportsmanship at St George’s College, here, today. Being held from 1 to 14 August 2026, the tournament has brought together 24 leading football teams representing prominent schools and clubs from across the region.

The tournament continues to uphold its rich sporting legacy by providing young footballers with a competitive platform to showcase their talent while imbibing the values of discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and true sportsmanship.

In the first match of the day, Navchetan Sports Club produced a dominant performance to register an emphatic 7–0 victory over Blu Football Club. Sohan opened the scoring for Navchetan in the 20th minute, while Manav added two goals in the 32nd and 37th minutes. Devu then took centre stage, finding the net four times in the 42nd, 48th, 64th, and 70th minutes, completing a commanding victory for Navchetan Sports Club.

The second encounter witnessed another impressive display as Wynberg Allen School (A Team) defeated Oak Grove School 5–0. Jordan put Wynberg Allen School (A Team)ahead in the 8th minute, before an own goal by Oak Grove School in the 31st minute doubled the advantage. Norjondi then struck twice in quick succession in the 39th and 46th minutes, while Dorjee completed the scoring in the 69th minute, securing a comprehensive victory for Wynberg Allen School (A Team).

The third match of the day saw Manorite overcome Yuva Sports Club 3–1 in an entertaining contest. Yuva Sports Club took an early lead through Aditya in the 19th minute. However, Manorite responded strongly, with Jotish turning the match in his team’s favour by scoring all three goals in the 24th, 54th, and 69th minutes to complete a memorable hat-trick and seal a 3–1 victory for Manorite.

The day’s matches witnessed spirited performances from all participating teams, with players displaying determination, tactical awareness, and a strong competitive spirit throughout the fixtures.

The matches were officiated by an experienced panel of referees comprising Pushkar Singh Gusain, Pradeep Negi, Prashant Rawat, Milan, and Anish Chhetri. Their fair, impartial, and professional officiating ensured the smooth and successful conduct of all the matches.
