Mussoorie, 25 Aug: St George’s College, Mussoorie, came alive with creativity, innovation and youthful imagination as ICREAS – Students’ Creative Expo 2026 was organised by Imageminds, the School Creative Lab team, in collaboration with the student community, here, today. Themed ‘Metamorphosis’, the expo provided a vibrant platform for students to transform ideas into meaningful, innovative and inspiring creations.
The exhibition showcased an impressive and diverse spectrum of student talent, encompassing art and craft design, fashion and designing, photography and videography, filmmaking, 3D modelling, robotics and Artificial Intelligence, web applications, mobile app development, AR/VR development, 3D game designing, board game designing and UI/UX designing.
Each exhibit reflected countless hours of dedication, imagination, experimentation and skill, transforming the venue into a celebration of the limitless possibilities of young minds.
The event was graced by Thsespal Zhiwa Kundan, Director, Moravian Institute, Dehradun, as the Chief Guest, while Susan Kundan, Director of Administration, Moravian Institute, Dehradun, was the Guest of Honour. The guests were welcomed by Ayush Rawat, Faculty, Imageminds.
The proceedings commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Brothers and the distinguished guests, symbolising the illumination of knowledge, creativity and innovation. This was followed by the unveiling of the ICREAS ’26 logo, after which the Chief Guest formally declared the expo open.
The presentations that followed offered a fascinating glimpse into the creativity and ingenuity of the students. Shanay Agrawal of Class 5 delivered a heartfelt presentation on Kindness, sharing a touching story that reminded the audience that kindness can often be found in the simplest gestures—a helping hand, a smile or a thoughtful act.
The ‘Colours of Uttarakhand’ presentation celebrated the vibrant colours, rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty of the state, beautifully portraying its traditions and unique spirit.
Technology took centre stage through a series of innovative applications. Agastya Goel of Class 6A presented a creative Science Quiz App, while Amay Shibe of Class 6A demonstrated the Movement Tracker App, designed to monitor movement through an engaging and interactive digital platform.
Taking the audience into a world of mystery, suspense and fear, Atharv Aggarwal of Class 7 presented a captivating short film, demonstrating the students’ growing proficiency in storytelling and filmmaking.
One of the highlights of the expo was VORTE-EX, an innovative serving robot that can be controlled through a mobile phone. The project was presented by Siddharth Mukherjee of Class 9B and Karan Verma of Class 7C, showcasing the students’ ability to combine robotics, technology and practical problem-solving.
Aaradhy Sehgal of Class 9B presented an innovative Artificial Intelligence project titled ‘AI –Image Recognition: Atomic Structure’. The project demonstrated how AI can be used to identify atoms through images and provide information about their atomic structure, offering an exciting example of technology being applied to scientific learning.
Further expanding the horizons of immersive technology, Manan Yadav of Class 10C demonstrated how Virtual Reality (VR) can create interactive and immersive experiences, enabling users to explore and engage with a digital world in an entirely new way.
Adding rhythm and energy to the event, Blind Faith, the School Dance Troupe, enthralled the audience with an electrifying Hip-Hop Dance Performance, bringing together music, movement and youthful expression.
The Student Ramp Walk, themed ‘The Evolution of Fashion’, introduced the audience to the fascinating world of fashion. Talented students travelled through different periods and eras, showcasing how styles, trends and expressions of fashion have transformed and evolved over time.
Following the group photograph, the Chief Guest, Thsespal Zhiwa Kundan, addressed the gathering. Impressed by the remarkable display of creativity and innovation, he observed that creative pursuits nurture essential skills such as innovative thinking, teamwork and collaboration. He encouraged the students to harness technology responsibly and use it for the greater good of the world.
Elaborating on the philosophy behind Imageminds, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of three powerful words—‘Imagine, Innovate and Inspire’—which encapsulate the guiding spirit behind the creative work undertaken by the Imageminds team and the students.
In his address, Principal Brother Jeyaseelan S, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for gracing the occasion and inspiring the students with their encouraging words. He congratulated the Imageminds team and the students for their outstanding display of talent, technology, creativity and teamwork.
Mementos and tokens of appreciation were presented to the distinguished guests and the Brothers by Vasanthan Kumar, Senior Subject Matter Expert, Imageminds. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Al-Qaliq N, Faculty, Imageminds, who expressed gratitude to everyone whose support and participation contributed to the success of the event.
The gathering was thereafter invited to explore the exhibits displayed in the auditorium. With its remarkable blend of creativity, technology, innovation and imagination, ICREAS 2026 stood as a testament to the spirit of exploration and discovery among the students of St George’s College.
