Dehradun, 28 Aug: The Regional Office of HUDCO (Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority), Dehradun, signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding with the Directorate of Urban Development, Government of Uttarakhand under the Urban Challenge Fund (UCF) and UIWIN on Thursday.
This MoU will facilitate collaboration in the preparation of bankable detailed project reports (DPRs), capacity building and training for urban infrastructure projects in Uttarakhand, and project financing under UCF. The initiative aims to strengthen the project formulation and financial resource mobilisation capacity of the state’s Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and promote the development of viable and sustainable urban infrastructure projects.
The MoU was signed by Vinod Kumar Goswami, Director, Urban Development Directorate, Government of Uttarakhand on behalf of the Urban Development Directorate, and the Regional Head, HUDCO Regional Office, Dehradun on behalf of HUDCO. Senior officials from the Uttarakhand Government, Urban Development Department and HUDCO Dehradun were present on the occasion.
This agreement is an important initiative towards strengthening project development, institutional capacity building and financing through UCF and UIWIN in Uttarakhand.
