Dronanagri is mythologically known for its high standard of education as, in ancient India during the Mahabharata epic era, Dronacharya, the great teacher of the Kaurvas and Pandavas lived here. But, as the centuries passed, the holistic education became confined and concentrated in a few towns and cities of Uttarakhand, but under the present progressive leadership, Uttarakhand has become a torchbearer in imbibing the dynamic changes in all spheres, be it technological, intellectual and spiritual.

I and the Executive Committee of PPSA extend heartiest gratitude and congratulations for the initiative taken by the team of Ministers under the exemplary leadership of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in making this Divine State, a Model State to be emulated by all.

The coming Global Investors’ Summit 2023, in which over 8000 delegates including 15 ambassadors and heads of missions from Spain, Slovenia, Nepal, Cuba, Greece, Austria, Japan, Saudi Arabia coupled with top honchos of corporates like Voltas, Amul, IGL, Ambuja Exports and Thapar Group will be present, should contribute immensely for the development of the state. It is indeed a step forward to bring International Investment to make the state culturally more profound and globally known, coupled with injecting huge foreign direct investments (FDI) cementing its financial strength to compete nationally and internationally. The state is now open for business, offering a spectrum of investment opportunities across industries, from streamlined clearance to enticing incentives, the state is committed to creating a thriving ecosystem for various ventures under the dynamism of the Chief Minister guided by the Himalayan vision and mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

My special and humble gratitude to all the progressive officers of the Uttarakhand Education Department, who under the guidance of Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat and Secretary, Education, Ravi Nath Raman, and the far-sighted approach coupled with never-say[1]die attitude of Banshidhar Tiwari, Director General, School Education, have taken a huge leap by getting worth Rs 500 Crores of expression of interest signed by educationists of repute to open residential and non-residential schools in the hill regions of Uttarakhand to promote holistic development of the less privileged districts of the state.

This investment will solve multiple problems of the state government ranging from generation of employment at the door steps hence the migration of the working population will be curtailed, giving respite to the overcrowded cities and towns. Secondly, majority of the parents migrate from their villages to the more prosperous places in search of better and competitive education for their children. By providing holistic education in the proximity of their villages will stop their migration and also save them extra financial burden of living in expensive cities and towns. The initiative taken by the education department is worth praising and one of its kind throughout the globe.

The construction of a developed India rests on two primary pillars – pride in heritage and every possible effort for development. Today, both these pillars are being strengthened in Uttarakhand. Once again thanks to the leadership, bureaucracy and receptiveness of the people of Uttarakhand contributing selflessly to the development of this Divine State.
