Dehradun, 20 Dec: In protest against the alleged ‘undemocratic’ action of suspension of 142 MPs of opposition parties in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Congress party in Uttarakhand will also hold “massive” protest in all the districts and in state capital of Dehradun tomorrow. This large scale protest has been planned on the instructions of the All India Congress Committee. In Dehradun, Congress plans to gherao the Raj Bhawan tomorrow under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief Karan Mahara.
Sharing this information, State Congress Vice President Mathura Dutt Joshi claimed that the way MPs of all the opposition parties, including the Congress Party, have been suspended from both the Houses of Parliament, democracy is under a strong attack by the Modi Government. He claimed that Modi is indulging in dictatorship like Hitler. Against this, the Congress Party will protest across the country. Along with protesting in all the district headquarters of Uttarakhand state, the Congress party will also draw the people’s attention towards the evils of BJP by gheraoing the Raj Bhavan in the state headquarters under the leadership of the state president.
Joshi said that in a democracy, the Opposition has to show the right path to the ruling party and the voice of the opposition should be strongly heard in the House, but today the BJP wants to run the country’s Parliament like Hitler, which is contrary to all the standards of democracy. . All opposition parties including Congress Party will take to the streets to raise their voice against this dictatorship of BJP. He said that under the leadership of State President Karan Mahara, a massive demonstration has been scheduled under the leadership of State Congress President Karan Mahara tomorrow at Raj Bhawan and will gherao the Raj Bhawan along with a “massive” demonstration in Dehradun in which thousands of Congress workers will participate.
