Defence Minister to lay foundation stone of Gurukul Jwalapur: Swami Ramdev

Haridwar, 4 Jan: On the occasion of the 29th Founding Day of Patanjali Yogpeeth, the foundation stone will be laid of the ‘Patanjali Gurukulam’.

Swami Ramdev stated this at a press conference, here, today. He said that the Gurukul was started 118 years ago by Swami Darshananand on 3 bighas of land, 3 Brahmacharis and 3 Chavanni. The institution will be a big centre of revolution in education.

The Swami said that a new history will be created from the land of Gurukul Jwalapur. The foundation stone of this Gurukul will be laid by the Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, Amity Group Chairman Dr Ashok Chauhan along with scholars of Arya Samaj, various dignitaries, the Acharya Mahamandaleshwars and seers of Haridwar will also be present.

He said that three big projects will be established from here. The first of which will be the 7-storey grand Patanjali Gurukulam to be built at a cost of about Rs 250 crore. There will be residential arrangements for about 1500 students. Apart from this, an Acharyakulam branch will be established here at a cost of about Rs 250 crore, from which about 5000 children will be able to avail the benefit of day-boarding. There is also a plan to build a Maharishi Dayanand Guest House. The Swami said that, along with education, the children here will be given values ​​so that they can connect with their culture and their roots. He said that here there will be a confluence of the best modern education and the best Indian values. The children of Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam will have knowledge of at least 5 languages ​​of the world including Hindi, English and Sanskrit.

He said that the people of Chauhan community have played a big role in protecting the Gurukul, hence the statue of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan will also be installed here. A community centre would also be built within 2 years that will benefit the people of Haridwar.
