Govt claims 4, 000 women from U’khand will get jobs in Tata Group

Dehradun, 26 Aug: The Uttarakhand Government today claimed that it is committed to providing employment to the youth of Uttarakhand in government as well as non-government sectors.  It has now revealed that the state’s planning department has received a letter from the country’s renowned company, the Tata Group, about creating job vacancies for 4000 women candidates from Uttarakhand in its Karnataka plant under its National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The state government has been informed that the Tata Group will start the recruitment process soon in the state under these programmes.

In a statement issued by the government today, it has claimed that the government in the state has been constantly trying to connect the youth with employment. Apart from various government departments of the state, opportunities are being provided to the youth in the private sector and self-employment sector. It further claims that employment is also being provided to the youth across the country and even abroad.

Now Tata Electronics Private Limited of Tata Group has issued a notification for the recruitment of 4,000 female candidates from Uttarakhand. In this regard, Tata Group’s Chief Human Resource Officer (HRD officer) Ranjan Bandopadhyay has sent a letter to State PPP Expert and Nodal officer for EAP in the State Planning Department, Sumanta Sharma, informing that this recruitment is to be done for Tata’s plants located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and in Kolar, Karnataka, under the NPS and NATS programmes. The eligibility for MPS is class 10 or 12 pass, while for NATS, class 10, class 12 and ITI diplomas will be the eligibility criteria. For appointment, the youth will have to pass Knowledge Test, Bid Test, PDT (Psycho Diagnostic Test). Tata Company has stated that, after selection, these youth will be appointed as Shop Floor Technicians. The youth will be provided a fixed salary as well as accommodation, food and transportation facilities. Apart from this, many other facilities will be made available under the company policy.
