Dehradun, 19 Nov: It may be recalled that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officials to take action in cases of land purchase beyond the permitted limit of 250 square metres by outsiders in Uttarakhand.
In pursuance, various district administrations are now issuing notices to owners of such land under section 154 of the Zamindari Vinaash Vyavastha Act. The Dehradun district Administration has also issued notices for purchase of more than the permitted 250 square metres by outsiders in the district. Such notices have been issued in 391 cases of purchase of land of more than 250 square meters by outsiders for agriculture, horticulture, industry, tourism, and other commercial activities. The district administration has issued notices under Section 166/167 in 281 cases and has also registered an FIR in this connection.
