Cycle Marathon organised by the CGST Commissionerate, Dehradun

Dehradun, 18 May: At 6:30 a.m., today, a Cycle Marathon was successfully organised by the CGST Commissionerate, Dehradun, in collaboration with the Fit India Campaign and Audit Dehradun. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, foster a sense of unity among the workforce, and highlight the significance of GST implementation in the country. It is worth noting that the upcoming 1st of July will mark the 8th anniversary of GST with the central theme: “8 Years of GST: Simplification of Taxes and Empowerment of Citizens.”

The marathon was flagged off at Maharana Pratap Chowk by the Principal Commissioner of the CGST Commissionerate, Shubh Chintan, and concluded at Maldevta, covering a distance of approximately 5 kilometres.

Led by Additional Commissioners Arun Kumar Gupta and Nitin Wapa, along with Joint Commissioner Vivekanand Maurya, officers and staff members of the CGST Commissionerate, Dehradun, and the Audit Office, Dehradun, participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The participants actively helped disseminate the message of the 8th GST Day theme “8 Years of GST: Simplification of Taxes and Empowerment of Citizens”. among the public. Also, officers, staff, and their family members from the Audit Commissionerate, Dehradun, as well as from the CGST Division Offices of Dehradun and Haridwar, along with several local residents took part in the marathon and contributed to its grand success.
