Dehradun, 22 May: The Assistant Governor of the Rotary Club visited RCD Dehradun, yesterday. The meeting was held at North Point, Doon Club. AG Puneet Tandon was welcomed by the President of the club, Dr RK Bakshi. It was the annual visit of the AG to review the work and contribution of RCD in the present Rotary Year.
Secretary Megha Bansal presented a detailed report of all the events and activities of the club this year. AG expressed his happiness with the work done by RCD in eradication of polio, blood donation and in supporting TB patients.
AG Puneet Tandon also informed the club members about the success of various important projects at the state and district levels. Some of these include providing artificial limps to the handicapped people, treatment of cervical cancer patients, construction of pink toilets and distribution of computers.
Tanushree Misra, an artist and singer, also put up a small exhibition on this occasion which included toys, show pieces and many other useful items made by waste material available in homes. She also gave a presentation on this art. The members found it quite interesting and useful.
Besides President Dr RK Bakshi, Secretary Megha Bansal, PDG Rakesh Agarwal, PP Dr S Farooq, PP DC Bansal, PP Dr Arun Kumar, PP Rakesh Malhotra, PP Tarun Bhatia, PP Anup Kaul, PP Pawan Agarwal, PP Dr SL Gupta, Rtn Praveen Kumar, Rtn Prof IP Saxena and Rtn Dr AK Srivastava were present on the occasion.
