Dehradun, 11 Jul: The monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will be convened from 19 August to 22 August this year. As was expected, the session will be held at Bhararisain, the summer capital of the state. The government has issued formal orders in this regard.
It may be recalled that in a recent cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had been authorised to decide on dates and the venue for the Monsoon Session of the state assembly.
With the CM having recommended holding of the Monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha from 19 to 22 August in Gairsain, which is the summer capital, formal orders communicating the decision to all concerned were issued today by Principal Secretary, Legislature, Dhananjay Chaturvedi.
The government is hoping to get approved the supplementary budget and demands on grants during the session which is expected to be stormy. A separate order convening the session formally is also likely to be issued by the Assembly Secretariat under orders from Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan soon.
