Dehradun, 28 Jul: On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, a workshop was organised at Graphic Era, here. During the session, an expert provided detailed insights into the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures related to hepatitis.
The Chief Guest at the workshop held at Graphic Era Hill University was Senior Consultant and Head of Gastroenterology at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Sachin Dev Munjal. He stated that this disease can be fully controlled with timely diagnosis and proper treatment. Dr Sachin explained in detail the main causes, early symptoms, and the process of testing to the students. He also emphasised the importance of cleanliness, timely vaccination, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Encouraging the students, Dr Sachin urged them to stay informed, spread accurate information, and contribute towards protecting society from this serious disease.
On this occasion, paramedical students presented impactful speeches, and street plays to spread awareness about hepatitis, highlighting timely testing, prevention, and treatment. In the street play competition, “Give the Shot, Fight Hepatitis” (Komal Kanti, Pooja Bora, Sunny Raj) won first place, “The Last Shot” (Anamika, Muskan, Saloni, Supriya) secured second place, and Kashish Harsh Heer and Kanak’s team took third place.
The workshop was organised by the Paramedical Department of Graphic Era Deemed University. The event was anchored by Aditi Patel. On this occasion, Head of Paramedical Department Dr Rinku Yadav, along with Dr Tania Goyal, Dr Ananya Barnwal, other faculty members, and students were present at the workshop.
