Dehradun, 2 Sep: BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt has indicated that the party will soon finalise its district executive committees and then also form the new state team. Sources claim that, in this regard, the state president and state general secretary (organisation) Ajaey Kumar are holding discussions with officials and public representatives from all districts except the disaster-affected areas.
BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan confirmed that the final process for the formation of district teams has started with a meeting at the party headquarters. During the meeting, the state leadership interacted with district presidents, district in-charges, and related MLAs and other public representatives. As per the instructions of the central leadership, efforts are being made to give proper representation to all sections, including women, youth, SC/ST, and OBCs, in the district executive committees. Chauhan also added that keeping the forthcoming 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections in mind, the party is holding discussions with all stakeholders to prepare a winning team. After this, the executives of all districts except the disaster-affected ones will be formed.
While speaking to the media, state president Mahendra Bhatt said that, after the formation of the district executives in a day or two, the state executive will also be announced. This new team will successfully organise the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ programmes starting from Prime Minister Modi’s birthday on 17 September. Responding to the allegations of the Congress regarding yesterday’s protest, Bhatt said that what happened on Rahul and Tejashwi’s stage was not only an insult to the Prime Minister’s late mother but to every mother. He said that the Congress leadership’s refusal to apologise or accept the mistake has angered 140 crore Indians. He added that the BJP workers are also hurt by this insulting and hateful incident, which is why a peaceful protest was held yesterday to make Congress realise its mistake. He further claimed that the local Congress party headquarters had equipment for violence with their leaders and workers. They also tried to provoke BJP workers to incite violence. But the BJP workers showed restraint and foiled Congress’s conspiracy.
Regarding the cabinet expansion, he clarified that the party has informed the Chief Minister about the five vacant posts. The Chief Minister has assured them that an appropriate decision will be taken soon. Therefore, the cabinet will be expanded soon under the guidance of the central leadership, and development work will proceed more effectively. He completely rejected all social media speculation and said that the BJP Government will complete its term under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami. And under his leadership, the party will win the 2027 elections again and score a hat-trick of forming the government.
