Dhami urges traders to promote Swadeshi products, adopt new GST rates

Dehradun, 24 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today again conducted a market tour in Dehradun, this time in Kuanwala Bazaar as part of the ‘Swadeshi Apnao’ and awareness programme regarding the new GST rates. During the visit, the CM interacted with shopkeepers and the local citizens, informing them about the benefits of using indigenous products and providing details about the recently implemented new rates in the tax system.

On this occasion, the CM also stated that adopting indigenous products is not only a significant step towards a self-reliant India but also enhances employment opportunities for local artisans, small industries, and youth. He urged people to use ever more indigenous items in their daily lives and reduce dependence on foreign products.

Dhami said the objective behind the rate revisions is to facilitate the general public and simplify business activities. He stated that, through a transparent and simple tax system, the state’s economy would gain momentum. He emphasised that public awareness and active participation of people are essential for the ‘Swadeshi Apnao’ campaign to achieve widespread success and further strengthen the state’s economic condition. Doiwala MLA Brijbhushan Gairola was also present on this occasion.
