13 teachers of Uttaranchal University feature among world’s top 2% Scientists

Dehradun, 24 Sep: Uttaranchal University is celebrating its 13 distinguished faculty members, who have been featured among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in 2025.  As a source of immense pride, their exemplary work profoundly elevates the reputation and academic brilliance of the Uttarakhand state and represents a significant achievement of the university.

The Stanford Top 2% Scientists’ list is a global ranking developed by a team at Stanford University. It evaluates millions of researchers worldwide and identifies the top 2% based on their impact. It encompasses standardised data on citations, h-index, and a wide range of bibliometric indicators. Researchers are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. This ranking, derived from data in the Scopus database, highlights researchers whose work has had a significant impact across various scientific disciplines.

Uttaranchal University congratulated Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, who has been placed for the 5th time in the list starting from 2021. Other faculty members who are part of 2% top researchers and have been felicitated by Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University are Prof Rajesh Singh, Director- Research & Innovation, Prof Anita Gehlot, Joint Director – Research & Innovation, Dr Kapil Joshi, Dr Manvir Singh and others.
