Govt at Doorstep of Every Citizen: Minister Ganesh Joshi listens to Public Grievances in Uttarkashi

Uttarkashi, 17 Jan: Minister Ganesh Joshi inaugurated a multi-purpose public service camp organized under the programme “Government at the Doorstep of Every Citizen” at the Inter College, Gangori, in Uttarkashi district. A total of 32 complaints were received at the camp, most of which were resolved on the spot.
During the camp, the Minister inspected stalls set up by various departments and distributed CIF cheques to Self-Help Groups. Under the Agriculture Department, two power weeders and flour mills were distributed to farmers with an 80 percent subsidy. Villagers were also informed about various welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments.
On this occasion, Ganesh Joshi stated that public welfare is the top priority and that public grievances should be resolved promptly at the ground level. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for initiating the “Government at the Doorstep of Every Citizen” campaign, he said that camps organized at the Nyaya Panchayat level are ensuring direct access to government schemes for rural citizens and enabling swift resolution of their issues.
Minister Joshi informed that the MGNREGA scheme has been further strengthened by the Central Government and renamed as VB–GRAMG (Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission – Rural). He also released the poster of the scheme. Under this initiative, the number of guaranteed workdays has been increased from 100 to 125, and the payment system has been changed from 15 days to weekly payments. He said that this scheme is a significant step towards realizing the vision of Developed India by 2047.
During the programme, the Minister also directed that one day’s salary of the concerned officer be deducted for remaining absent from the Jal Nigam action camp.
Present on the occasion were Area MLA Suresh Chauhan, District President Nagendra Chauhan, District Panchayat President Ramesh Chauhan, Bhatwari Block Pramukh Mamta Panwar, Mandal President Rajesh Rana, Mahavir Singh, Chief Development Officer Jai Bharat, ADM Mukta Mishra, along with several other public representatives and officials.
